The alarm blaring every morning multiple times before I can plop my hand on
snooze is a constant reminder of the fact I am not a morning person. Regardless
of what I am not, I am a team player. Having jobs has shown me that you have to
work together; you cannot just purely depend on yourself. Working has taught me
my responsibility, and shows me the type of person I don't want to be. No
matter how tired I am or how much I don't want to be at work, I drag myself out
of bed or to just go to work, force myself awake and happy (on the outside),
and smile for my team and help those who depend on me.
I can’t stand people who do not pull their own weight and who are lazy.
Seriously? Grow up, suck it up, and do it.
Work isn't school; others depend on you to do your job, not just your own
grade. Going to school full time, working two jobs, attempting to have a life
outside of work and school, and homework, has pushed me to be driven and
determined. I never would have thought I would be able to handle it, but I just
thought, ' I have to, no one else is going to be picking up my slack, paying my
bills, doing my homework, or taking care of me; I'm big girl now, I have
to do it.' And I am.
Some others haven’t had that thought yet... And I would never want to
let anyone down. You just have to keep going. Work has definitely changed me,
I'm a responsible individual, I've grown up, and I think it's safe to say I'm a
pretty hard worker. I know I wouldn't want anyone to think of me differently,
and the only way to make sure of that is to show and prove to them that,
although I am busy, I am reliable, responsible, hard-working, and grown up
enough to handle adult situations.
I'd rather work hard now while it's easy and I can, and relax when I'm older
and get to enjoy the life I worked for.
I love this one! I know how you feel I am also not a morning person at all! Putting on a happy face for everyone around you is hard, make sure you don't keep everything bottled up inside though, I know how that is.
ReplyDeleteWay to go! sounds like you are doing great. keep up the hard work and will all pay off in the end.
ReplyDeleteagree....agree agree! This is kind of similar to my blog, growing up boring :) school full time, work full time, homework and trying to have a social life is hard. it sucks. but everyone has to do it. it takes a lot but i think (i hope) it will get easier... :D
ReplyDeleteWe have a sign at work that says: "Do the things you have to do, when you have to do them. Someday you can do the things you want to do, when you want to do them." -JJ
Who is a morning a person? Clearly no one haha but work will lead to money which always helps especially with all these college bills. Never bottle things up it will lead to a bigger mess.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly how I am on the weekends. While a lot of people get to sleep in, I have 7 a.m. shifts on the weekend. It's not fun, but it always pays off in the end.
